Chikubu Ramen

Chikubu Ramen
Originally uploaded by Brodyb.
On a tip from Chowhound, I checked out Chikubu, a Japenese restaurant that, on Fridays, serves some of the best Ramen in the city. So I tried it out with some co-workers. It really was good, with a nicely flavored broth, to good quality noodles, and everything. Probably the best part was the pork in it, which was both flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender.

My co-worker Brody took some more photos, but I can't figure out how to link to his public photos (although Flickr says I should be able to do this). So blogging one photo from Flickr is all I can do. Sorry!

That ramen was indeed very good. I was unhappy with the pears though, they weren't ripe. Were they supposed to be?

Well, they are Japenese pears, which are crunchier. Perhaps they just tasted unripe. Or they could well have been unripe. I'm no expert in pears.

Thanks for the recommendation. It's right around the corner from my office. Friday ramen, here I come!
