Jay's new mustache
My old friend Jay came up to see us a few days ago. Surprisingly enough, he was sporting a brand new handlebar mustache.
So you see it's sort of a "grumpy pitcher", or "1890's stockbroker" look.

I'm sorry, friend, but that's not a handlebar mustache. A handlebar is only attached to the face on the upper lip portion-- the ends go free and curl up. The guy in your picture just has an extended mustache, but since it's attached to his face all the way down past his lip, it's not a handlebar, despite bearing some resemblance to one.
